Picking out a Christmas tree is a long-lived couples tradition for a reason! There’s a sort of deep bonding that comes from scouring through hundreds of pines together, only to find the one that you both agree feels just right. It’s made even more special knowing Bottoms Tree Farm has been family-owned and operated since 1997. The caring atmosphere spurs a contagious merriness in the air that you just can’t help but join in on. Don’t forget to stop by Santa’s Snack Shack for some hot chocolate and cookies to share after you find that perfect tree!
- Experience Unforgettable Christmas Cheer with the Ashebrooke Night of Lights
Over 300 homes in the Ashebrooke neighborhood come together for a one night event of spectacular light displays all in the name of giving back to the community since 2006. Over the years, the event has grown to add features like a live Nativity, a hot chocolate station, and an appearance by Santa himself. You’re never too old to enjoy the lights!
Don’t worry, if you miss the event itself, the majority of homes in the neighborhood keep their displays going after the NOL is complete.
- Plan an Ice Skating Date at The ICE Complex
Imagine gliding across the ice, holding hands with your sweetheart, while the uplifting tunes of Christmas music fill the arena. If you’re new to skating, the date might look more like falling on the ice laughing together. Both options are cute and sure to spark memories to last a lifetime! The ICE Center in Cumming has two-hour public skate sessions open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It’s the perfect amount of time to enjoy a physical activity and then grab a bite to eat after.
- Make Holiday Decorations at a Pine + Pigment Workshop
If you don’t do some sort of holiday craft together, are you really a couple? Pine + Pigment takes the hard part out of crafting, providing you with a DIY workshop space and all the materials. The decorations that come out of here look professionally made and are just the thing to spruce up your home with holiday vibes. Choose from a variety of options to make together from Christmas countdown signs to cozy blankets and more. You can even bring your own drinks and snacks to stretch out the evening.
