Water access on Lake Lanier
Two full-service marinas and a dozen county launch points put a boat in the water anywhere along the Forsyth County shoreline.
Private marinas
Port Royale Marina
About 700 slips, a gas dock, pontoon and ski boat rentals, and boat sales and service. Pelican Pete’s — the only restaurant on Lake Lanier boaters can dock right up to — sits at the marina with lakeside bar food and drinks.
Bald Ridge Marina
Lake Lanier’s southernmost marina, operating since 1958. Over 600 covered and open wet slips, non-ethanol fuel and diesel, a pump-out station, boat sales and service, and a small on-site sandwich counter.
County-owned boat launches
Forsyth County maintains public ramps at the parks below. Most require a paid launch/parking pass — $10 for the day or $60 for the year (10% off ages 55+) — sold at on-site kiosks or at the Central Park, Fowler Park and Old Atlanta Park recreation centers.
